Created in 2007 and operated out of our open concept studio space on Sterling Road in the Junction Triangle, Greening Homes practices a 5-pillar approach to minimising the environmental impact of our work. Greening Homes completes an average of 30 renovation projects per year, ranging from full basements with underpinning, additions, whole home renovations and energy retrofits. We serve the downtown Toronto market for a wide array of clients having budgets ranging $75,000 – $1 million plus.

Project Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated, inspired, progressive, experienced individual to pursue their career with us.

Start Date: Immediately, or as successful candidate is available
Salary range: $60,000 – $75,000
Location: Junction Triangle, Toronto (Lansdowne and Bloor)

Overall Responsibilities

The project manager is responsible for the complete project life cycle starting at an early point of the development phase, right through to the completion and close out. This includes but is not limited to :

  • Estimating
  • Meetings with clients (weekly), and sub-trades as required
  • Coordinating work with our internal labour forces and the Site Supervisor
  • Recording correspondence and issuing meeting minutes promptly
  • Electronic maintenance of the project file on BuilderTrend and Google Drive
  • Site visits before and during construction
  • Preparing RFP’s and hosting trade days
  • Preparing and issuing purchase orders
  • Preparing and issuing change orders
  • Project close out

Specific Skills /Experience required:

  • Proficient in use of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Proficient in use of Google Mail and Google Drive
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role working within a residential renovations general contracting firm

Other Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license with insurance (access to vehicle desirable, but not required)
  • Open and willing to follow company’s mandate to minimising our environmental impact
  • Have good driving record to permit insurability on company vehicle
  • Be bondable

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience in working within a small, rapidly growing company
  • Experience working with BuilderTrend
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
  • Background in interior design, or the ability to competently work with a client to assist in design decisions and explain repercussions to a project’s budget
  • Formal training, strong knowledge of, or experience in green building (e.g. LEED, Passive Haus, Living Building Challenge)
