Position: Long Term Care Garden Facilitator
Organization: The Giving Garden – Orange Lily Group
Location: Mississauga, GTA, Ontario
Part-time contract: 10hrs/wk
Duration: April – November (potential for extension to the following year)
Rate of pay: $25/hr
The Giving Garden LTC Program works to provide long term care residents an opportunity to nurture their community, their home, and their life by growing food of their own and through sharing with others by donating nutritiously dense food to their local community. Our gardens are designed for accessibility in mobile raised garden beds, in order to encourage participation from all LTC residents.
The Giving Garden is currently looking for individuals with garden and food growing experience as well as horticulture therapy and/or community garden education experience to manage two of our vegetable gardens in Long-Term Care homes in Mississauga.
