Position: Marketing Assistant
Organization: NYQUEST Training and Placement Inc.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organized and innovative individual to execute successful marketing and recruitment strategies for our Camp Canada program.   • With the Marketing Specialist and Operations Director, assist in strategy development and execute thoughtful, effective marketing and recruitment campaigns across the course of the year for international camp staff
  • Assist with engaging mass communications (e.g. Mailchimp)
  • Compose and schedule relevant online content through social media platforms and company website to achieve plan objectives, with a focus on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • Assist with basic website maintenance and in general tech-related areas (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Develop and maintain leads with a focus on program application, e.g turning interested leads into complete participants
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key-identified sources of potential overseas recruitment opportunities; e.g. student societies, outdoor education schools/programs, recruitment partners, university job boards
  • Assist in the development of the Regional Representative program; past program participants who are spreading the word about the Camp Canada opportunity. Provide direction, support objectives, ensure accountability
  • With the Marketing Specialist, promote the January Camp Canada job fairs with a focus on maximum turnout

Skills and Experience:

  • University graduate, preferably in marketing/communications or related discipline
  • Knowledge of and/or interest in international marketing
  • Knowledge of and/or interest in work abroad/overseas experiential programs
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with the 18-27 age group (not restricted to students)
  • Excellent writing abilities, including promotional writing focused at our target audiences
  • Knowledge of social media platforms, including but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
  • Basic Photoshop/Graphic Design experience an asset
  • Basic HTML experience an asset
  • Experience utilizing Mailchimp and Salesforce an asset
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Programs
  • Experience working at a camp is very beneficial, but not mandatory

Other Requirements:

  • Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or someone in possession of a valid work permit.
  • Has a strong interest in helping young adults travel to Canada to work at camps and outdoor education organizations
  • Able to commute to Toronto office or relocate to Toronto

Dates of Employment:

Beginning ASAP. Start date is open to negotiation between the final hire and the employer, but must be able to start employment by Monday, November 6 th at the latest.

The position would be full time (40 hours per week) until the end of June 2018.

After the first month of employment, employee will be eligible to work 1 day per week from home. Day is determined by the Operations Director.


Salary: Hourly rate of between $17 and $19 depending on experience

First two weeks of employment will be an hourly trial basis. Contract will be signed after successful completion of first two weeks of employment. Contract will be extended if the employee's performance meets or exceeds supervisor's expectations
