Salary: $75,912.20 to $92,366.82 annually (2019 rates of pay)
Location: 110 Laurier Avenue West
Responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating outreach and communications plans, tactics and materials for assigned department service areas. The job is also responsible for providing outreach and communications advice, and supporting strategic communications, media relations and issues management for department service areas.The department's service areas include Planning, Infrastructure, ROW, Heritage and Urban Design and Economic Development and Long Range Planning.The focus of this position is to develop and lead communication and outreach programs, projects, and products that promote climate change, energy, and resiliency awareness and action through public engagement, education, and social marketing.
Education & Experience
4-year degree in Communications, Public Administration, Public Relations or related field.
5 years of progressively responsible experience, with demonstrated experience in areas relating to public relations, communication, community involvement, or promotional activities in the service area.
*Experience and formal training combined with demonstrated performance and ability may substitute for stipulated academic requirements.
Language, Certificates & Licenses
English oral, reading, writing required.
