The Science Horizons Internship Program, supported by Environment and Climate Change Canada, is a wage subsidy initiative that matches graduates, under the age of 30, with positions across Canada that help combat climate change. To help employers anywhere in Canada hire the talent they need and help increase the supply of highly qualified professionals in environmental sectors. The ideal end goal of the program is for the intern to be hired on full-time or decide to return to academia to further their studies. Placements are a minimum length of 6-months with a maximum of 12-months in length. Clean supports the internships that are focused on placing youth from employment equity groups* to ensure equal representation in the green sector!
* Employment equity groups include Women; Visible minority youth; Indigenous youth; Youth living with disabilities; Youth from Official Language Minority Communities (OLMC); and Youth residing in a rural or remote location.
