Faith & the Common Good (FCG) is a national, interfaith charitable network dedicated to supporting diverse faith and spiritual communities contribute to greener, healthier, more resilient neighbourhoods. The Global Catholic Climate Movement – Canada chapter (GCCM Canada), is a program of FCG works for the advancement of values expressed by Pope Francis in the encyclical, Laudato Si’: on care for our common home. GCCM Canada is initiating the Catholic Eco-Investment Accelerator, one year undertaking to encourage Catholic institutions, organizations and Bishops to follow Pope Francis call for a shift to an Ecological Economy.
Are you inspired by working with a team to plan and develop a user-friendly tool to help faith-based organizations divest and reinvest funds from fossil fuels to an integral economy, putting people and the planet first? Are you interested in the intersection between religious teaching, mitigating projected climate change outcomes and using institutional economic planning to drive social change?
The GCCM Canada Catholic Eco-Investment Accelerator project is looking for two creative and environmentally minded interns to join our team from June to Sept., 2021.
Working with the Coordinator of GCCM Canada and a Usability Specialist, Interns’ duties will include, but are not limited to:
