Position: CAD Designer (Entry-Level) - Solar Layout/Design

Job Summary

This position is ideal for a recent graduate of an engineering/engineering technology degree/diploma (or similar). The role will involve processing data collected by site inspectors into optimized rooftop panel layouts (training on techniques/methods will be provided). The successful candidate should have high attention to detail, clear communication skills and be able to work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and design solar engineering layouts (AutoCAD 2D) and process 3D models for residential solar installations
  • Ensure designs are accurate and submitted on time
  • Communicate with customers and clients
  • Document and oversee steps and progress of projects
  • Coordinate with site inspectors, designers, engineers and clients as necessary

Qualifications and Skills

  • Engineering/Engineering Technology/Design background
  • Experience with AutoCAD is considered a strong asset
  • Time management
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communication
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environmental
  • Able to work independently and as a team
