Position: Marketing Assistant

LEAF is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the protection and enhancement of the urban forest. Our planting programs and education/outreach programs have been connecting residents to the urban forest for over two decades. Our service area includes Toronto, York Region and several municipalities within Durham Region.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Marketing Assistant for a full-time, eight-week contract with the possibility to transition to a 3-month, part-time (16 hr/week) contract following the full-time contract. The ideal candidate will be interested and available to continue in the part-time role.
The Marketing Assistant will enjoy an experiential learning environment working as an integrated member of the Marketing and Communications team, reporting to the Marketing and Communications Coordinator. The role will primarily focus on raising brand awareness of LEAF and our programs, to encourage program participation and to educate the public on the benefits of protecting the urban forest. The ideal candidate for this role is a creative self-starter with a passion for environmental issues and experience in marketing or communications.
LEAF offers a supportive training process to ensure all staff have a great learning experience and gain quick confidence during their employment. All activities are carried out with careful precautions taken to protect the physical safety of staff and volunteers, including adhering to all local and internal COVID-19 health guidelines.
