The Yukon Conservation Society (YCS) is a grassroots environmental non-profit organization, established in 1968. We have over 250 current members and many dedicated volunteers. Over the years, YCS has earned a respected position of influence on environmental policy and education in the Yukon.
Reporting to the YCS Executive Director, the Financial Manager is responsible for the society’s finances and keeps the office running smoothly. The Financial Manager is encouraged to creatively address the multiple tasks and requirements of the position. A strong environmental ethic and a commitment to sustainable communities are required.
This is a permanent part-time position for 37.5hrs bi-weekly (15-20 hours per week)
Duties and Responsibilities
A. Major Roles
1) Financial Management (70%)
2) Office Administration (25%)
B. Other Principal Activities
Supports the volunteer Board of Directors (5%)
