Multiple positions: Trip Prep Specialist

We’re looking for Trip Prep Specialists who can do a world-class job with a sense of professionalism, pride and fun! TPS’s are key field staff who work behind the scenes in tandem with Trip Leaders to ensure smooth Trip Logistics before and after each departure. The Trip Prep Specialist position requires someone with a systematic and methodic approach, impeccable self-sufficiency, great attention to inventory detail, strong organization skills, the ability to maintain all of Backroads' bikes and related equipment and the desire to create a great working environment with Trip Leaders and global operation teams.

  • Do you like solving problems and working with others to accomplish a goal?
  • Do you have a good mechanical aptitude and are you a quick learner?
  • Do you have strong organizational skills and attention to detail?
  • Do you have an unwavering positive attitude and take pride in a job well done?
  • Do you enjoy understanding how things work, and look forward to learning what you don’t know?

The TPS role does not work “on trip” and will be based in the hubs of our many regions—Tuscany, Provence, Croatia, Alaska, Utah, Alberta, Quebec to name a few. As a TPS you will likely work a standard 35-40 hour work week (sometimes, more) based in the warehouse or office in the region.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid driver’s license and clean driving record and be legally authorized to work in the United States, Canada or France. Once your season starts, Backroads will provide housing in the region you are working in when you are not on trip. We will pay for your non-personal travel to and from wherever you are sent to work in Canada or abroad!
