We are currently hiring for the upcoming 2020 season!

Celebrating our 103rd anniversary, Bartlett Lodge is Algonquin Park's smallest and most historic lodge. We have 12 cabins, 2 suites, and 2 platform tents which house our guests from around the world from mid May until the end of October. We are hiring to fill a remaining few vacanies for our 2020 season! We are looking to fill:

  • Dining Room Servers
  • Front Desk Agents

These are contract positions LOCATED IN ALGONQUIN PARK (3 hours from Ottawa or Toronto) with an anticipated start date of May 10th, 2020 until the end of our season on October 27th, 2020. You must be available to work the entire season to be considered for this position. You may be required to work holidays, weekends, split shifts, and on occasion 6 day weeks.

At Bartlett Lodge, when guests have a request the answer is always 'Yes'. Since we are a smaller resort we are able to give our guests personalized attention, so the successful candidate should be outgoing and posses a natural talent for customer service

Reporting to the General Manager, Front Desk Agent duties include:

  • Process bookings via telephone or through our web-based booking platform
  • Make reservations or suggestions for guests who want to explore the local landscape
  • Answer guest calls and record details of each conversation for future follow-up
  • Meet and exceed guests’ expectations by anticipating the services they might require and suggesting local venues
  • Maintain constant communication with guests in advance of weddings, corporate retreats and other in-house events to ensure we’re prepared for them
  • Provide professional and friendly service to all resort guests
  • Assist guests with check-ins, check-outs and other cabin related request
  • Communicating with other lodge staff on the status of guest rooms
  • Maintain a clean and proper reception area
  • Handle guest payments and deposits, perform end of day reports

Reporting to the General Manager and Dining Room Manager, Dining Room Server duties include:

  • Provide professional and friendly service to all resort guests
  • Take and process guests’ orders in a timely fashion
  • Memorize daily specials and special daily menu instructions
  • Manage large groups quickly and efficiently through attentive service and precise order taking
  • Maintain a fine dining atmosphere and handle guest complaints/requests quickly

We provide staff accommodations and two meals per day. Employees are welcome to the use of our amenities including canoes, kayaks, and bikes. Employees are also able to enjoy unlimited access to the park at no cost during their days off. Pay is in addition to our generous tip pool.
