Position: Administrative Coordinator
Organization: The Nature-Based Solutions Foundation
Location: anywhere in Canada (working remotely)

The Nature-Based Solutions Foundation (NBSF) is a new national organization with a mission of protecting endangered ecosystems across Canada. To this end, we fill key conservation funding gaps that are vital for securing new parks and other protected areas. Contract $48,000 per annum.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized person to join our team. Working directly with the National Coordinator, this person will provide support for various facets of operations, fundraising, and campaign logistics. This person will be responsible for helping with duties related to administration, database development and management, event logistics, and software integration. We are looking for a highly adaptable person that is naturally predisposed to the timely and accurate completion of detailed tasks, which will be applied to assist the team with completing its fundraising activities and objectives. The ideal candidate will also have a demonstrated commitment to and interest in protecting nature.

Skills and experience:

• Detail-oriented, accurate, and reliable
• Excellent organizational skills
• Comfortable working with databases (eg. Constituent Relationship Management [CRM] systems, spreadsheets, MailChimp, etc.)
• Highly adaptable and responsive to changing priorities
• Experience performing administrative duties
• Experience working with web-hosting software (e.g. Squarespace)
• Familiarity with grant writing, reporting, and submitting
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Work and/or volunteer experience with environmental organizations
• Bonus: Familiarity with accounting and/or finance

Responsibilities:

• Assist with a wide variety of tasks daily administrative, fundraising, and campaign logistics
• Coordinate logistics for targeted events, presentations (online and in-person), and trips
• Develop and maintain databases (CRM, spreadsheets, etc.)
• Coordinate logistics for receiving donations
• Research new softwares for optimizing internal processes
• Compile and send regular email newsletters to supporters
• Upload and update web page content
• Compile information for grant applications and reports
