YOGA ASHRAM VOLUNTEERS

Karma Yoga & Meditation Immersion Program

Roles: Cabin maintenance, trail maintenance and gardening
Type: volunteer / with private or shared room and meals
Organization: Siva Ashram
Location: St-Calixte, north of Montreal, Quebec

We are a small ashram located in the forest, one hour north of Montreal. We self finance through a small cabin rental business located on the property. We currently have 5 cabins : a tipi, a tree house and 3 bubbles.

We are presently looking for volunteers to join us and take part in a karma yoga and meditation immersion program through which you will learn how to apply yourself to work while cultivating detachment, devotion and a feeling of oneness. You will also have the chance to join us for group meditation morning and evening as well as other spiritual group activities : singing, vedic and interfaith philosophy classes, prayers and personal development workshops.

Volunteering will take place with cabin maintenance (cleaner), water and firewood provisioning (driver), ashram maintenance, forest trail maintenance and potentially some gardening and construction work, based on your skills and interest.

Volunteers stay in private or shared rooms and we offer 3 vegetarian meals per day.

You will live with a group of about 6-8 people living in an ashram / spiritual community setting with shared values and daily practices.

We are established on a 34 acres plot of woodland, one hour north of Montreal, in a beautiful, densely forested area.

We also have some pets: donkey, pony, mule, pigs, cats.. which you could help with.
