Role Description:

The Community Climate Council is seeking 2 Social Media Content Producers who will report to the Communications Lead. They will create content for the council’s social media feeds and digital or print educational resource creation, event promotional materials, website-based design content, sci-comm posts, and campaign materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Create content for the council’s social media feeds and digital or print educational resource creation, event promotional materials, website-based design content, and campaign materials
  • Create a minimum of one social media post for the Instagram feed each week
  • Follow the brand guidelines to create consistency across all posts
  • Submit posts for review and approval to the Board of Directors 24 hours prior to the date of posting to ensure that any edits required are done in time
  • Meet weekly with the Communications team to assess current work, to discuss the council’s media strategies and design projects
  • Assist to create the social media content calendar each month in collaboration with the Communications Lead
  • Integrate anti-oppression and anti-racism work in council content

Qualifications:

  • Strong design skills and an eye for detail
  • Experience in managing Social Media platforms and programs
  • Experience using design tools like the Canva, Squarespace, Wix, etc.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong sense of organization skills
  • Must be able to fact check and cite credibility of information
