About The Community Climate Council (CCC):

We are a passionate and dedicated team of volunteers who are unable to sit idle as we live through the climate crisis and strive to catalyze climate action at the local level through climate literacy and political advocacy.

As a volunteer-driven organization, we rely on the passion and dedication of individuals like you to make a positive impact in our community. Your support is invaluable, and we are excited to provide you with rewarding and meaningful volunteer opportunities. At CCC, we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where volunteers can thrive and contribute their unique skills and experiences. Whether you have a background in communications, event planning, political advocacy, or are eager to learn and grow, we have a range of open volunteer positions available.

Here are some of the exciting opportunities we currently have:

1. Chief Operating Officer: Oversee and optimize the day-to-day operations of the CCC. Drive strategic initiatives, manage resources and budgets, implement operational policies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and effective execution of business objectives.
2. Website Administrator: Oversee the functionality of the website, evaluate and manage website performance, facilitate hosting and server management, and develop, maintain and update website content. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your design skills and contribute to our online presence.
3. Communications Coordinators: Various roles overseeing the website, social media platforms and designing materials. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your design skills and contribute to our presence both online and off!
4. HR Coordinator: Work closely with the Head of HR and the management team to develop and implement strategies aligned with the overall Council’s strategic plan in the following areas: succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational performance management, and training and development.

Time Commitment: Approximately 3-5 hours/week
