LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED to inspire possibility with Kids this Fall 2022

Position: Volunteer KidCoach to Children (ages 9-12)
Organization: Future Possibilities for Kids
Location: anywhere in Ontario

Future Possibilities for Kids is looking for volunteers to join our Ready, Set, Goal! program.

Ready, Set, Goal! is a fully remote, 7-month leadership development program that matches Kids aged 9-12 from communities in Ontario with KidCoach volunteers who encourage and support them towards a community goal project (what we call, a Goal of Contribution). Through weekly 30-minute+ phone calls using a guided Activity Book, KidCoaches support Kids in building confidence, practicing Possibility Thinking and fostering greater community awareness and social responsibility. Together with their KidCoach behind them, Kids shine as the leaders they are!

What’s Involved?

1. Attend and participate in a virtual training session.

2. Conduct 30+ minute weekly phone/video calls (28 calls in total) with a Kid in the program from November 2022 to May 2023.

3. Submit an online check-in report after each call

4. Attend and actively participate in 4 Virtual Crew Talks + Activity Days +1 POP!Fest celebration. Activity Days are virtual meet-ups with your Kid and Crew. These meet-ups are a great way to connect and engage with others through fun and interactive activities. POP!Fest is a virtual graduation celebration that showcases the accomplishments of Kids and KidCoaches throughout the program. Participation in Crew Talks + Activity Days and POP!Fest are mandatory and all dates listed are on a virtual platform. See below for important dates:

  • Crew Talk + Activity Day 1 - Saturday, November 19, 2022 (9:30am-12pm)
