Type: All Council members are volunteers. Out-of-pocket travel expenses related to Council business are reimbursed, but no honorarium is paid.
The British Columbia Institute of Agrologists (“BCIA”) operates pursuant to the Agrologists Act [SBC 2003](“Act”) and is the organization that governs and regulates the profession of agrology within the province of British Columbia. BCIA will soon become a ‘regulatory body’ governed by the Professional Governance Act [SBC 2019](“PGA”). The PGA, passed in November of 2018, is coming into force by stages, with the transition from the Act to the PGA anticipated in Fall of 2020.
