ORGANIC FARMING

Positions: Organic farming
Farm: Hoppy Fields Farm
Location: just outside of Fergus, near Guelph, Ontario

Organic Farming Positions — full time or part time available — field work, CSA organizing, farmers market sales

About the farm:

• we're heading into our 8th season, with roughly 3 acres in vegetable production and several greenhouses and caterpillar tunnels
• we do a CSA, 2 farmers makets, and wholesales to local restaurants
• we're in the process of moving towards more tractor/equipment based bed prep, weed management, and harvesting
• we grow a large variety of summer crops, storage crops, and winter greens

Looking to hire:

1-2 more people to work 30-40 hours a week (fairly flexible) from late April or early May until late October or early November

$18-20/hr

• Must have a valid drivers license and be legally able to work in Canada
• Preference given to those who live locally and have realiable transportation (no on-farm accom)
• Ability to lift heavy crates of vegetables, complete repetative tasks, work outdoors in all weather
• Prior farming or related work experience is recommended
