Looking to spend time outside working with your hands? Looking to learn more about and geek out on plants? We are a small sustainable garden design company in Victoria looking to hire one or two new folks to join our team!

What we do?

We offer garden maintenance rooted in horticulture and sustainable principles — caring for and encouraging healthy happy gardens for lovely clients.

We also design and install gardens - transforming outdoor landscapes to be more functional, sustainable and beautiful.

Who we are?

We are a team of five plant people who work together, learn together and lift each other up. We all care about the environment and enjoying what we do. Terra Vita is a small company that focuses on quality and sustainability in how we function. We are keen to deliver the personal touches in gardening you can only get from being a small business and from building genuine relationships with our customers and gardens we care for.

What we offer?

Flexible hours. Healthy, happy work environment and colleagues. Room to grow, learn, engage with yourself and nature. Living wage; exact wage will reflect skill you start with and quickly grows with what you offer and what you put into the job. Room to advance with us if you like.

We are looking for part-time employees - min 8 hours (1 day a week), max 3 days a week ...ideally we would want you there two days a week. We work most of the year with a more relaxed summer schedule and a short break usually in January.

What we are looking for?

  • hardworking individual who is driven and doesn't mind lifting heavy things, moving often and working in all elements
  • detail oriented, we aren't you average landscape company, we need someone with an eye for the details that drive our type of garden care
  • kind, we care about what we do and the people we work with
  • good communicator and team player, we’re collaborative in the way we work and function, listening and feedback are key to what we do
  • curious and open learner + critical thinker, nothing in nature is ever the exact same and we love that, a part of what we do is assessing each unique environment we work in and making choices based on a understanding of plants and our garden goals, we can teach you about the plant side as we go but we want you be be willing to learn and engage
  • responsible, show up and be present with the job
  • committed, a year commitment minimum is ideal (we understand life changes, but ideally want to invest out time in someone who wants to work with us longer than a few seasons).

MUST HAVE A FULL DRIVER LICENSE

MUST BE AVAILABLE AT LEAST 1 - 2 day a week

If you have experience that's fantastic!!! We will pay you accordingly. If you don't, we are happy to teach you the principles of horticulture, plant ID and sustainable garden care.
