The Green Angel Training Program
Opportunity: Green Angel Training
Organization: The Jellyfish Project Society www.thejellyfishproject.org
Location: home study / anywhere in Canada
The Green Angel Training Program is a learning resource designed to give you the information you need to be a sustainability mentor so that you can:
The Goal: a greener environment in which to live, work and study, ultimately benefiting the community as a whole.
The Green Angel Training Program was developed by Dr. Dan Kingsbury, a former dentist living on the coast of British Columbia, who left dentistry because of a significant visual disability. This life event opened his eyes to a new direction that has become his “raison d'être,” that of being a Sustainability Coach and Suzuki Elder.
Inspired by Lindsay Coulter, the David Suzuki Foundation’s “Queen of Green,” Dr. Dan developed the program for people who would like to be ambassadors of the sustainability movement. He believes that sharing the “conversation” with others is the key to change, and that one-on-one communication is very powerful.
The cost of the training is $50.
The Green Angel Training Program is an initiative of The Jellyfish Project Society whose mission is to educate youth on ocean sustainability and climate change through live music, presentations, and learning resources that promote environmental stewardship - http://www.thejellyfishproject.org.
