BOARD POSITION

Position: Treasurer - Board of Directors

Village Vancouver is seeking an energetic and organized individual with a passion for community development to serve as Treasurer on the Board of this dynamic non-profit society.

Treasurer Job Duties:

  • Responsible for full cycle bookkeeping and accounting, including entering all transaction activity, preparing payroll, invoices, payments, deposits, performing reconciliations and trial balances, and creating financial statements and preparing tax returns. The Treasurer also assists with financial reporting requirements for grant applications and reports as needed, presents financial updates at board meetings and engages in other financial tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge & experience with Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) and Quickbooks. Village Vancouver uses Quickbooks Online.
  • Experience in non-profits an asset
  • Ability to work well with management, board, staff, volunteers and others an asset.
  • Experience working, studying, or collaborating with people from diverse cultures and economic backgrounds an asset

Job Expected Hours: Average of 4-7 hrs/week.

Location: Most work will be remote (from home). In-person meetings can be arranged at our Field House in McBride Park (Kitsilano, Vancouver).
