Position: Development Coordinator
Organization: reThink Green
Location: anywhere in Ontario

Start Date: April 15, 2024
Salary Range: $46,000 - $52,000
Contract Term: 12 months

JOB SUMMARY

reThink Green is committed to helping communities across northeastern Ontario reach net zero by 2050. We are seeking a Development Coordinator to help us advance our mission by securing resources, building relationships, and implementing impactful fundraising campaigns, events, and programs.

The Development Coordinator will be a pivotal figure within our organization, tasked with a variety of responsibilities that are essential to the growth and sustainability of our organization. Their primary focus will be fundraising and sponsorship management, which will involve working in tandem with the CEO to set achievable goals for fundraising and to devise strategic plans for their implementation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders, fostering a network that can provide support and opportunities for the organization.
  • Work closely with internal teams, forming synergies that drive the organization forward.
  • Create and execute campaigns designed to draw in donations, grants, and sponsorships, ensuring a steady flow of resources necessary for the organization's operations.
  • Organize events specifically aimed at raising funds, engaging with potential sponsors to secure financial support, and nurturing ongoing relationships with current benefactors.
  • Develop programs that bolster the organization's brand recognition and further its mission, including initiatives that focus on community outreach, educational endeavors, or advocacy efforts, all of which serve to enhance the organization's public profile and impact.
  • Utilize various communication channels, including social media and email marketing, to reach a broad audience and generate support.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree or a comparable blend of education and up-to-date, relevant experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years in a role as a development professional, with proven success securing fundraising and sponsorships.
  • Skilled in conducting development-related research to pinpoint donor prospects and in devising customized fundraising packages.
  • Experience creating short and long-term sponsorship plans.
  • Experience planning and delivering events and programs aimed at engaging sponsors, stakeholders, and supporters.
  • Experience maintaining fundraising databases and producing monthly reports for CEO and Board review.
  • Proven track record creating and overseeing content across various social and multi-media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.
  • Advanced abilities in utilizing MS Office suite, database software, and web content management systems.
  • Exceptional and verified communication abilities, both oral and written, with expertise in drafting, proofreading, and refining a diverse array of written materials.
  • Experience working and living in Northern Ontario is an asset.
